Interstitial cystitis (IC) is defined as pelvic pain, pressure or discomfort related to the bladder, typically associated with a persistent urge to urinate or urinary frequecy.  More than one million Americans - of all ages, genders, race and ethnicities - have IC.  Many experience severe chronic unmanageable pain.
