Michael A. Urig, MD, FACOG
Dr. Michael Urig was born and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Dr. Urig received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and his specialty training in OB/GYN from Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (formerly known as Banner Good Samaritan). He became Board Certified in OB/GYN in 1991. Dr. Urig is an Associate Director of Residency Training and Associate Chair of the Department of OB/GYN at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. He has been one of the "Top Docs" in Phoenix Magazine from 2001-2015 and is President of the Board of Directors of Arizona OB/GYN Affiliates.
Dr. Urig is married and has two sons. His outside interests include bible study, getting away to Flagstaff with his family, mountain biking and snowboarding. He volunteers on a monthly basis at the Neighborhood Christian Clinic where he cares for indigent patients.
